This past winter, you might have seen me at the Mandolin Cafe, vanilla latte by my side, headphones on listening to Paolo Conte while I typed away (with fingers hopefully flying across the keyboard). Other days you might have found me with a camera or two or three hanging from me as I squat down to capture a ground view of a moment or set the timer and jump up onto a huge tree trunk that has become driftwood laying on its side on Owen Beach in Point Defiance Park.

I am writing a book (my book!), titled Inner Excavation, which will be published by North Light Books in October 2010 (Amazon.com says so and I believe them).

You can even preorder your own copy (signed by me with some extra goodies) right here.

I am living one of my wildest dreams as I write a book about the inner journey told visually through photography, poetry, and mixed-media art. Several fantastically talented contributors are sharing pieces of artwork and writing in the book, and I can't wait to share more details with you. You can follow along on my journey as I write and work on the book by peeking in at my blog, be present, be here.
