we have a winner!

jar of buttons

Well, for all you guessers out there, the number of buttons in that jar was 4,797. can you believe it? goodness that is a lot of buttons.

Greenish Lady was the closest, missing the mark by only 131 buttons.

Diana and Bridget were close behind her though, so I want to give them a little something too.

And, I have decided that the person who guessed the smallest amount, a number that just had me giggling a bit, also wins a prize. And yes, my dear, that would be you gk girl.

Email me at waywardtulip at gmail dot com to claim your prizes!

Thank you to all of you for playing along - this was too much fun. I think i just might have to do something like this every couple of months.

Holy Smokes! I would never have thought so many buttons could be in that jar. Wow. I'll have to rethink my perceptions.

Dear, lovely Liz ... happy belated birthday! We've been swamped since having dinner together and I've not been commenting much over the last week, but I wanted to connect and tell you that you're awesome and I can't wait until our next visit. (And I *am* jealous about Bob Newhart - I'm glad the show was great!)
Oh yeah, by the way, we bought a house today ... whoo hoo!!!!!
Congrats to the button jar winner too ... I've never been good at that sort of thing! Cheers, peace and love, Deborah

Huh... I was only off by 4,334 buttons... not bad for my first guessing game! I hope to get better!
It was such a lovely game- I hope we do get to play more with you!

4,797!!! You guys must have been counting forever! And to think I was so confident with my guess of 738. It wasn't a random pick, it was a very calculated guess. Only off by 4059! That's hilarious! I'm going to pass on the fun, and do a contest on my blog too! Thanks for the SMILES!

I cannot, cannot believe I was so close. When I looked at the guesses others made, I thought I'd look really silly with my "way off" guess! Woo-hoo! I don't win things, so this is wonderful, and feels as good as a lotto-win!I am thrilled beyond description.

And I'm glad (for your sake) the prize isn't the whole jar of buttons. Be aware you are talking about international postage whatever you are sending, and I will be thrilled with the smallest thing from that Little Room.

Oh. This has made my day! This is great! Thank you!
